Chapuland · Your forest, your plans.

An 866-hectare forest deserves to be known in full.

Most of us who live in Mexico City visit Chapultepec two or three times a year, usually the same spots. Meanwhile, the forest grew: a Fourth Section, a cable car that crosses it in 21 minutes, an eight-screen cinema, new museums, tracks, lookouts and free workshops.

Chapuland exists to close that gap: so that anyone, with whatever budget and time they have, can build a good plan in the forest, enjoy it, share it and care for it.

What we believe

  • The forest belongs to those who use it. We want you to make it yours: come back, recommend it, demand that it be well kept.
  • Verified data, not brochures. Hours, prices and rules reviewed every month and corrected when you tell us.
  • Free, no fine print. The app and the site are free. We don't sell your data or flood you with ads.
  • Independent. We don't depend on the government or the forest administration, which lets us point out what's missing: cleaning, services, parking, safety, hours.
  • Constructive criticism. We report with photos, location and date, and forward through official channels. No fights, just evidence.
  • Bilingual and accessible. Spanish and English from day one; accessibility information for every place.

Who we are

A Mexico City family that decided the best gift it could give the city was helping more people make good use of its forest. We are not an agency or a tech company: we maintain the catalog, moderate the reports and answer the emails ourselves.

What we are not

  • We are not an official page and we don't represent any authority.
  • We are not an anonymous complaints board: every report is moderated before publication.
  • We don't sell third-party tickets today. If we ever do, we'll say so clearly and the price will be the same as the box office or better.

How it is funded

Today, Chapuland is paid for out of the pocket of the family that created it. In the medium term we want it to sustain itself through three sources, in this order of preference:

  1. Transparent commissions on tickets or experiences from third parties inside the forest and its surroundings (museums, attractions, guided tours, bikes and scooters, events).
  2. Sponsorships from brands aligned with caring for the forest, always labeled as such.
  3. Community donations.

Never: intrusive advertising, selling personal data or paid content disguised as recommendations.

How to help

  • Use the app and tell us which plan worked and which didn't.
  • Share your plans and photos with #Chapuland.
  • Report what's wrong and confirm when something gets fixed.
  • Correct a fact: if an opening time changed, write to hola@chapuland.org.
  • If you run a business or project inside the forest, let's talk: partnerships.
